Job Summary:

Netchex is in search of a diligent and seasoned Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting tasks, encompassing areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. Your contribution will be pivotal in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout our financial processes. We're looking for candidates with a solid foundation in accounting principles, exceptional leadership abilities, and a knack for excelling in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

Location:

• Mandeville/Covington, Louisiana (if in person) or Fully Remote with travel required (minimum once/quarter)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close process, prepare monthly reporting schedule and related deliverables
• Oversee AP/AR team
• Assist with GL, cash reconciliation, prepaids and accruals; prepare journal entries and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
• Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
• Evaluate current processes and implement necessary controls, suggest and implement improvements to accelerate close timeline
• Assist in annual financial audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries
• Support transformation projects such as implementing new systems, programs and procedures
• Partner with FP&A on budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting processes
• Other assignments as required

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of accounting experience
• Eagerness to learn new things and grow with the organization

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles (familiarity with Software ASC-606, a bonus)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate issues and resolution clearly and concisely to management and stakeholders
• Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and perform multiple projects while working with varying team members, as well as work independently with limited required direction
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with large ERP system and other general accounting software (familiarity with Sage Intacct preferred)
